Who are we?
Wild Adventures Forest School offers half term clubs on the premises of two Hertfordshire schools. We currently run our club from Roger de Clare School in Puckeridge and Watchlytes Primary School in Welwyn Garden City.
Our club is available for children between the ages of 4 and 10 years old and is from 9am to 3pm.
Each sessions has a huge emphasis on safety; establishing boundaries and routines and allowing time for the children to become comfortable and confident in the setting. There is then a focus on developing and reinforcing skills, promoting nature connection and developing relationships within the group.
The role of the Forest School leader is to allow the children to meet risk and challenges appropriate to their age, personality and stage of development and to ensure their safety. Our sessions aim to foster a supportive and encouraging community, where children feel their contributions are valued and listened to. We support and encourage the children as they build a meaningful connection to nature, igniting their natural curiosity and extending their learning by providing opportunities and guidance skilfully and sensitively, to support all children to reach their full potential.
Activities for Forest Schools are diverse and numerous but some might include:
